Two Ways To
Administer

On the go? Take
ENTYVIO with you.

One ENTYVIO. Two administration options.

Once you’ve received your starter doses of ENTYVIO—always administered through intravenous (IV) infusion—you begin your follow-up doses, known as maintenance doses. You’ll undergo a maintenance evaluation with your healthcare provider to determine which administration option is right for you: IV infusion or self-administered injection under the skin (subcutaneous).

Remember, EntyvioConnect is available to support you throughout this process and answer any questions you might have.

Which maintenance option were you prescribed?

When you were prescribed ENTYVIO, you and your doctor should have discussed which option would be the best fit for you. Explore more about each treatment plan below.

Safety Considerations

Do not receive ENTYVIO if you have had an allergic reaction to ENTYVIO or any of its ingredients. Infusion-related and serious allergic reactions can happen while you are receiving ENTYVIO or several hours after treatment. ENTYVIO may increase your risk of getting a serious infection.

Please see additional Important Safety Information below.

If you’ve been receiving ENTYVIO through IV infusions but think the self-injection pen might be a better option for you, discuss with your healthcare provider if a transition is possible.

What are the differences?

Option 1:
IV infusion

  • Administered in an office, at home, or infusion center
  • A healthcare provider monitors your treatment
  • Takes about 30 minutes
  • Given every 8 weeks

Option 2:
Self-administered injection

  • Offers flexibility in your treatment at home or on the go
  • Delivered to your home by a specialty pharmacy
  • Can be administered in several different areas on the body
  • Taken every 2 weeks

If you transition to the ENTYVIO Pen, there are plenty of resources available to help you feel more confident with self-‍administration. When you switch, your healthcare provider will teach you the proper steps for self-administration. You can also connect with a Nurse Educator to receive a self-injection training kit when you sign up for EntyvioConnect—which offers ongoing support throughout your treatment.
